About
I like the whole problem.
I’m a full-stack engineer based in Singapore, and I’ve been writing software other people depend on for about twenty years. Children’s television at the BBC, sports at Yahoo!, a decade of agency work for brands you would recognise, and lately two products of my own.
What I actually enjoy is the whole problem. Schema design and deploy pipelines interest me as much as the interface does — which is usually why I end up on projects where those things have drifted apart.
I would rather say the awkward thing early than manage around it: that an estimate is wrong, that a feature isn’t earning its place, that the architecture everyone is working around needs fixing instead. It makes for slightly uncomfortable week-two conversations and considerably better month-three ones.
